Yoga

Teaching yoga in La Fortuna, Costa Rica. PC: David Hernandez
I am a 500-hour yoga teacher, who received 200-hour multi-style yoga training at the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, USA, and 300-hour multi-style yoga training remotely from Vinyasa Yoga Academy/World Peace Yoga School in Rishikesh, India. I have been a registered teacher with Yoga Alliance since 2018, mainly teaching vinyasa and flow yoga. I've also completed an 8-week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn from the UMass Memorial Medical Center, and I am incorporating mindfulness meditation in my classes.
I have previously taught gentle flow, vinyasa, chair yoga, and kids' yoga. I am currently teaching a gentle flow and restore class online as a volunteer teacher with a non-profit organization based in Los Angeles called Heal One World (HOW) every Monday from 5 pm to 6 pm (US Pacific Standard Time).
I first started practicing yoga in the summer of 2015 to better cope with stress during my freshman year in college and to try something new. I fell in love with yoga when I was first introduced and enjoyed sharing energy with fellow yogis. Yoga has taught me how to navigate my life and has helped me feel grounded when I didn't feel stable in my life. I love to share my energy with others who are both new and experienced in yoga. I hope to see you on the mat!
